Join Catherine Connolly and Disabled People and Carers for Connolly for a panel discussion on the human rights of disabled people and carers in Ireland in 2025, one year on from Ireland's signature of the Optional Protocol to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. 

The panel theme is 'One year on from Ireland's adoption of the OP CRPD: Where are we now?"

Speakers include Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald, Senator Tom Clonan, journalist Emma Ward, mental health writer and activist Blezzing Dada, and law student Alannah Uí Geargáin.

- The event will take place in The Gallery Room of The Helix, DCU.
- The event will start at 1.30 and will last around 90 minutes. 

- The event will be fully hybrid and will be recorded. 

- Venue is wheelchair accessible. ISL interpretation to be confirmed.
